Dear Kirsty, We love our possum skin throw.  The chocolate colour is so rich, and the fur shines beautifully, highlighting the natural variations in the pelts. On colder nights we throw it on top of our covers. It feels light and warm.  I LOVE the feel of the fur brushing against my skin.  It is one of those rare purchases that fill me with delight and happiness every time I think of it or see it.  My only regret is that we didn't get one a long time ago.

Gorgeous Creatures in Newton has a fabulous range of the best quality cow hides around. We brought one last year for our lounge area and have been really supprised at the durability and quality of it. We have two young kids, a dog and a cat and the hide still looks new! Recently our home was used as part of a school fundraiser where a few selected homes were on show for ticket holders to view. The idea was to give people a taste of varying renovation styles, budgets, and stages. The house looked great - as you can see from the photo's! It has been a delightful experience obtaining an ottoman from Gorgeous Creatures. From the outset we were after a very particular colour in the hide. Kirsty invited us to take numerous hides home on trial. When none suited she put in an order for one on a no obligations basis. It was perfect. Kirsty also visited our home to ensure we were completely happy with the hide and to help us decide on the dimensions of the ottoman. Nothing was too much trouble. I absolutely love my possum merino top and scarf. It is deliciously warm, soft, and feels wonderful to wear. Wool usually irritates my skin, makes me itchy and can encourage my eczema, so the possum merino is perfect for my sensitive skin. Anna - Auckland - New Zealand

Thank you also for making all of my visits to your store such easy and enjoyable ones! I am loving all of my purchases (rugs etc) and my kids (myself included) are enjoying the possum fur. It drapes the family couch and never stays put as my kids love to snuggle in it, even at this time of the year!! I was a bit nervous about having it on the couch all the time (dirt, kids etc..) but it is one of the easiest, fuss free pieces in our lounge. It doesn't crease and is exceptionally easy to spot clean!! and the calf skin underside is divine, well worth the extra in price. Hello, I now know why you are called "Gorgeous Creatures".....the cowhide rug arrived on Tuesday and it is just BEAUTIFUL. How do you get the hide SO soft??? I have tried tanning (kangaroo and wallaby hides) in the past and can't get anywhere near that result. I could not believe that it drapes like fabric and fitted into such a small box. It sits perfectly on the floor and does not move. Kerry is delighted and so am I. Now I just have to think of an excuse to buy myself something from you! I found an amazing cow skin ottoman in one of Sydney's chicest designer furniture stores, the price tag, however, was horrifying. I searched on line for an alternative and came across Gorgeous Creatures. While it was a quite a significant investment to be made across the seas, the team at GC were incredibly helpful and open. It gave me the confidence to place the order, pay the money and cross my fingers. I could not be happier. The resulting Ottoman is far better than the one I saw at the original retailer at about 1/3 of the price. I've only had it a week (very fast, well communicated delivery) but everyone that walks into my home is bowled over by how chic it looks. Dear Kirsty, Thanks a lot for the personal touch. I was thinking just yesterday, if you’d like a little testimonial for these beanies esp. for chemo people. Most people either don’t wear a beanie 24/7 OR they don’t mind / notice prickliness. But sick / weak / elderly would really notice, and their thin skin may chafe with ordinary wool. I wear mine in winter almost 24/24 hours also for sleep, and it NEVER irritates the skin or causes any prickliness which i think makes them suitable for little old ladies, people who are in hospital etc...
