The outer is 100% soft and glossy eel skin. Eel skin does not have a specific smell; it smells pleasantly of very mild leather.

Eel skin is 150% stronger than other leathers and becomes softer and more supple with use. The silky feeling skin will improve with age, wearing exceptionally well while retaining its distinctive look of quality. But don’t throw any wallet in next to your keys, nail file and all those other abrasive objects that roll around in our handbags. If your hand bag has different areas then do your wallet a favour and separate sharp from soft.
