Bright Red longwool double sheepskin rug
Dimensions 60cm x 180cm. Natural Longwool sheepskin rugs are soft and fluffy. This rug uses two sheepskins that are sewn together to form a long rug from expertly matched New Zealand sheepskins.
They are perfect for a bedroom down the side of the bed. Imagine stepping out of bed onto these soft warm rugs. And they can also be used in a hallway or in front of a fireplace to great effect. Although these rugs are predominantly used on the floor as luxurious coverings, they can also be used as a sofa throw, on beds, or draped over any type of chair. They are particularly good in armchairs or across the seat of a sofa in the winter. Protect this dyed black sheepskin from harsh direct sunlight to increase lifespan and reduce fading. ![]() Other sizes also available in this colour - made to order:- Quarto - 4 skins sewn together NZ$639 Sexto - 6 skins sewn together NZ$945 Octo - 8 skins sewn together NZ$1249 Contact us to order these sizes. Your carefully selected Sheepskin may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibres are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance. A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days. Washing Machine or hand wash your sheepskin in warm water (38°C/100°F) using a mild liquid detergent. Spin to remove excess water. Colours should be professionally drycleaned only. North America customers - We recommend the use of Pure Castile, biodegradable camp soaps or Eucalan Wool wash. Please only use detergents which are non-alkaline, non-iconic and do not contain biological enzymes: Do not use Woolite or laundry detergents such as Tide. Drying Dry your Sheepskin flat or on a line and stretch to shape while damp. Keep away from direct sunlight and artificial heat. Do not tumble dry your Sheepskin. Take care not to place the Sheepskin on a radiator, steam pipe or in front of a fan heater as this may damage the Sheepskin. Do not iron or bleach the Sheepskin. Brushing After washing, the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. A wire brush or comb is suitable like a poodle brush from a pet shop. |
